Line Dancing is alive and well here in Lauderdale West. If you love to dance and love to exercise, come and try line dancing. New style line dancing to all kinds of music – Latin, Oldie’s, top 40, country, swing.
Did you know that line dancing is 76% better than any other form of exercise including other dance styles for staving off the onset of Dementia and Alzheimers.
We dance Wednesday afternoons, 1-2 p.m, in the Main Clubhouse, room 113. The class is ultra beginner level. It is great fun and exercise and you can meet new friends with similar interests. It is open to all residents and beginners are always welcome. The cost is only $2 per person.
Men and women welcome. Wear appropriate shoes to give your ankles and knees good support. Most shoes have rubber soles which are not conducive for gliding or turning. Put either tennis wrist bands, socks or peddies around the front part of the shoes or over the entire shoe. High heels are discouraged.
